Turkey Day!

Well, I’m out running in the snow right now… Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
As usual, I’m running in the Turkey Trot this year. Afterwards, I actually get a break as we’re not hosting Thanksgiving today, so I can relax a bit before heading over to my in-laws for some Thanksgiving dinner. After dinner, I hear we’ll be watching Ratatouille to keep the kids amused.
I have no intention on going out for any Black Friday deals tomorrow. I did it once (got my Furby for $30 and sold on eBay for about $180) and that was enough for me. Waking at 2:30 in the morning, just to go wait in line at 3AM isn’t my idea of fun. Especially not the day after a holiday.
I’ll be working Friday, but Friday night the lights turn on! I’m excited to see what they look like this year (I haven’t seen them in action yet - only Laura has, as I was at the controls) but a bit nervous that something will go wrong, especially since we have people coming over. Using my Kill-A-Watt I was able to measure the amps used on each channel, so I won’t blow a fuse, but there are some older lights in the system which may cause problems. Oh, and I can’t forget to put out my sign from YourOneStop.com - they did an amazing job!

I finished in 44:01 - an 8:51 pace. 2,358th place out of 6,825 racers. I would have been 122nd in my age group, but I ran under a different name & age and ended up finishing 121st in the Men’s 30-34 group.
