Tip of the Day
Monday August 6, 2007 // Share on Facebook
Well, since I don’t give tips every day, it’s not really a Tip of the Day, but it’s a tip, nonetheless.
Don’t you hate it when publishers cut their stories into multiple, pages, just to fit in more ads? Look at this example. Now I clicked on this article because it mentioned Garmin, but Garmin isn’t mentioned anywhere on the first page. Maybe it’s on page 2, or maybe page 3… who knows.
I really just want to read the story, without all the extra crap. Here’s the tip:
Click on the “Print this Story” link
On this site, the link is in the upper-right. Most sites have these links, typically right next to the “E-mail this Story” link. Now, you have a nice looking page that you can quickly scan, or even search for “Garmin” and see where it’s mentioned.
Happy reading!
