Hi, and thanks for stopping by! We've made some big changes to the blog - including shutting it down! With social networking and micro-blogging these days, there's no need for us to blog. So check out the latest on our homepage, and thanks for visiting.

Monday Morning Catch-up

Well I had a busy weekend, with Laura being away and I chasing after all three kids. They were actually quite well behaved – I think they usually are, when it’s just either Laura or I around, and not the both of us.

Saturday we shopped at the Knowlton Ave. annual block sale, and picked up some books (coloring, painting and reading), Jason got a toy robot, and Becca got a video game (which, she’s too young to play – too much reading for her now). We hit the playground, went to the pool store (our pool was clean, but cloudy, so I’ve been adjusting the chemicals since Saturday night) and watched a couple movies. While the kids were watching movies, I found a couple more additions to the 2007 Christmas light show, which I think will be amazing this year. I’m adding more daytime things, so there’s something to see when it’s too bright to see the lights.

Earth Machine Compost BinOn Sunday we went up to the cottage and just hung out. When I pulled up, I swelled with jealousy as I saw the Bishops had a new compost bin. I was going to get one myself, but couldn’t justify the $150 price tag. When I found out theirs was only $20, and it was much larger and nicer than the one I was looking at, I needed to get one for myself. The township that the cottage is in, and the province of Ontario, actually promotes composting, so they’re covering part of the cost. So I left $20 with Mom Bishop and it will hopefully be here over time.

After dinner, we headed home, only to find a 45 minute wait at the border. The kids put up with it, though, and we were home by 7:00 – just in time for tubs. Laura got home about 9:30, and we all ate chocolate :D
