Talk Out Your Problems
I have problems; you have problems – we all have problems. However bleak the situation may seem, there is always hope. Find someone to talk to – a friend, a family member. Get help. Don’t take things too drastically.
Just 1 day after entering our household, Rosie couldn’t handle the pressure of cleaning up after a household of 3 children and a dog and attempted to take her own life by throwing herself down the stairs. Luckily, I turned the corner just as she took the fatal step, and (sacrificing my coffee, which is a true testament as to how much we love her) caught her after only a couple steps. Rosie is fine, and after some gentle reassurance from her friend, the virtual wall, she got back to work and avoided the stairs the rest of the day.
Robots of the world – I speak to you: Rome wasn’t built in a day. My children did not destroy my once-clean house in 24 hours. No, they’ve worked tirelessly, at least 12 hours per day, scattering their toys, bringing in dirt and scattering the dogs hair for the past 5-1/2 years!
Do not despair – no matter how dirty the room may be, no matter how many tiny nooks the room may have, you’ll get to it – one room at a time.
And when you’re done, you’ll start all over again, because my kids have already dirtied the rooms you just cleaned today.
