Race of a different kind

Ray and I were racing to see who can get their portfolio to a certain level first… I’ve been working on the same initial investment (401(k) rollover) plus a $500 investment this May… Ray’s strategy was to throw money at it.

My portfolio has done quite well – up 22.31% since September, 2005.  Here’s the last 3 months:

I’m going to have an end of the year push to drop in money to lower my taxes, so I’ll come in a respectable 2nd place.  Ray, on the other hand, with his method of competing in the race, finished 2nd to last.
