Free credit report, really!

Since I’ve been offline for a week, I had a bunch of reminders. One was a reminder I set last year, which was to order my annual free credit report. Since I live in NY state, I’m entitled to one per year, and my anniversary came up. Once again, I took 20 minutes and went through the process. Now, I just have to scan these PDFs I created and make sure there’s nothing on there that shouldn’t be.

I also spent the $5.95 and got my credit score from Experian (the last one on the annualcreditreport.com website – the first two charge $7.95). It’s not as good as I’d like it to be, but it’s a work in progress. With all the debt I have, it’s about what I expected.
