Far run
Andy & I ran this AM from my house, to Delaware Park, around the park, and back home again. That’s 5.77 miles. It took us 50:03 which is a 8:40 pace, or 6.9 mph. I burned 761 calories. All this info from my Garmin Forerunner.
I then took the Forerunner data, exported it, imported into Google Earth and watched the path we took. I wanted to share it with you, but I had a hard time capturing the movie. I played w/ some software that tried to do it, but in reality, it just took about 20 minutes to give me a choppy video. Since I’m *not* going to spend $400 for the professional version, here’s a still image of the route:
To further along my diet & exercise routine, I’m cutting sugar out of my coffee. It was weird at first, but now I’m drinking less coffee & more water, so it’s good for two reasons. Assuming I work 250 days / year, and I drink 3 cups of coffee / work day, each with 2 teaspoons of sugar, that’s 1,500 teaspoons of sugar I’ll cut out of my diet each year, or 22,500 calories or nearly 6-1/2 pounds I could loose. I’m down 7 so far in 3 weeks, so I’m on the right track.
Tomorrow I have my Zend PHP Certification Test to take in Rochester, then I’m meeting up with some business colleagues, then having lunch w/ my Aunt Carol, Jack, and my Mom (who ironically lives only 3 miles away from me, but I’m traveling nearly 100 miles to have dinner with her (it takes my Aunt to get us together… oh wait – it’s our turn to have them over for dinner. Well, they have central air and we don’t, so I guess we’ll have to wait ’til October to invite them over)), then going to Ray’s house for some Poker!!
As if that day isn’t busy enough, the next day (Saturday, if you’re having trouble keeping track at home), we’ll be going up to the cottage to rebuild part of the roof. I’m sure Laura has something planned for Sunday, too.

Sounds exciting! Wow, you can really run!
Yeah, I feel like Forrest Gump
