Milk in Coffee

11th Apr 2006Uncategorized

I’ve come to some conclusions about adding milk to coffee.

  1. Adding skim milk to your coffee will give it a dull, grey color, while adding whole milk gives it a yummy beige color, and thickens it up a bit
  2. Putting coffee with whole or 2% milk on a coffee warmer for too long will cause a nasty film to form on top of the drink, while this will not happen with skim milk
  3. I have yet to see the skin form while using a coffee flavoring, but that may be because I drink them too quickly. The coffee flavoring also gives a nice color and thickens it up a bit. All this with no skin appears to be the optimum choice. Then again, it does add calories.

So for now, I’m going to stick with skim milk, as I’m not drinking my coffee fast enough, and the skin really grosses me out.

Why am I writing this? Because somebody out there may care, and because Laura hasn’t posted anything in weeks!
