If your name is Katrina I’m Sorry
I feel bad for anyone whose name is Katrina after the devastation this storm caused. I find it hard to watch TV these days. As you know we have three kids(6 years-7 months) and I cant imagine going through that storm with my children. On the news last night they were saying that two infants had died in the convention center from dehydration. I was watching this while feeding my 7 month old and was brought to tears. My heart goes out to those mothers who have watched their babies die because there was no food or water for them. My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this monster they call Katrina .
Two years ago we were in New Orleans staying in the french quarter visiting my cousin who was living there at the time. I see the pictures on TV and cant recognize the place and feel so much sorrow for the wonderful people in that area.
Lastly I am so proud that I live in Buffalo -a city that is truly full of good neighbors. Last week kiss 98.5 and its listeners helped fill 10 tractor trailers with food, water, clothes, etc. to send to Baton Rouge. I was unable to get there in time to make a donation due to family problems. However I did do my part by heading to the Clarence fire hall this morning. Jason and I filled several boxes with childrens and baby clothes . We also dropped off 8 blankets, bags of can good and of course a case of baby food.
Every little bit helps so get out there and help your fellow man or at least say a prayer for those affected by Katrina . Every good deed is returned.
