Our Vacuum Cleaner sucks…
… and that’s a good thing. It’s a vacuum cleaner – they’re supposed to suck.
When’s the last time you bought a new vacuum cleaner? Next time you do, you’ll be absolutely disgusted with the amount of dirt the new machine picks up in your carpets. You’ll look at the old one like a disgrace, outraged that for all this time you thought it was cleaning the carpets, but really it was just making a lot of noise. When our Eureka stopped sucking, it was time to buy a new one.
We bought a Blissell vacuum cleaner with this “clean” light, which turns green when it’s no longer sucking up dirt / dog hair from the carpets. It took me 20 minutes to get a 6 sq. ft. area of our carpet “clean”, and I don’t consider ourselves dirty people (except for the kids & their messes). Just goes to show you how much my Eureka didn’t suck.
Moving on… I just picked up 4 tickets to see the One Man Star Wars show at UB this fall. One of our friends is a Star Wars fanatic, so they’ll probably go with us. The video on that site is amusing.
We had a nice week of weather, for once. It started off rainy, but the rain brought down the hot temps, so I wasn’t sweating to death while trying to work during the week.
On a sadder note, Steve moved to Texas today. The good news is that he’ll be back to NY State in less than a year, just across the state in Albany with his girl. Well, they don’t know that for sure, but based on what I’ve heard, it sounds like that’s the plan.
It’s been a long day – maybe something exciting will happen this weekend, and I’ll have something better to write about than my new vacuum cleaner (but ask Laura, I *do* love to vacuum!)

This is Noni (Ye’s Wife). Got some problems with your vacuum cleaner? Gosh..I feel you, man. Well, If you ever decide to buy a new vacuum cleaner, you might want to look for Dyson. It’s a little bit expensive but it’s totally worth every penny.
